The 'X' in my name doesn't just look good, it symbolises both my surname (Cross), and my trade (as an open pair of scissors).

About Me

I’m Harriet, a heart-led hair artist, My home salon was born from a dream to create something more than just a place to get your hair done.

My journey started back in 2012 with an old-school salon apprenticeship. Since then I’ve travelled the world doing what I love, from buzzing salons in the UK to styling hair on Royal Caribbean cruise ships, and a lifetime opportunity working on Hamilton Island as the resident hairdresser and seasonal wedding specialist. Every step shaped the stylist I am today: grounded, intuitive, and forever evolving.

We'll have endless chats when you're with me, if that's your thing. But, if you wanted to get to know me better, here's a few things you should know... Family is super important, I love animals, from horses to Lola the salon pup herself (if dogs aren't your thing that's ok she'll be away in her bed). I keep myself fit with different sporting activities but most importantly, I adore my job because of my clients. Creating beautiful hair, boosting confidence, and helping you feel like the best version of yourself is what I love most.

The Salon

In 2021, I took the leap and opened HarrietXHair from my home, a cosy, one-to-one studio experience filled with warmth, intention, and personal touches. I specialise in enhancing natural looking blondes, balayage's that grow out beautifully, lived-in colour and expert styling to give you a look that's both flattering and on-trend.

I wanted to build a safe, nurturing environment where you can simply just be you; feel seen, heard, and self assured.

Whether clients come in needing a quiet escape, or a heart-to-heart, everyone is welcome while providing a dream salon experience.
